The Turkish currency is Lira and it is used all over Turkey, in some resorts they may accept euros but rarely, you are best to just with Lira.

The Turkish Lira Banknotes are in denominations of 1 (rare) 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, and 200.
Turkish Lira coins are divided into Kuruş (koo-roosh) 1, 5, 10, 25,50.

The exchange rate for Turkey is usually pretty good and you get rather a lot for your money, however as with any exchange rate it is always changing.

Changing money you can do before you go at the post office online or in-store as well as banks, supermarkets and at the airport.
